What We Offer

Resolve Parkinson’s offers opportunities for you to contribute to a changed future. You can help us transform the future of Parkinson’s.

People We Admire: Steve Yellen

Resolve Parkinson’s is dedicated to creating a new model of care for Parkinson’s. Part of how we plan to shift perceptions and practice to advance the prevention, treatment, and cure of Parkinson’s is by showcasing the work of people in our community whom we admire. People We Admire is dedicated to people with Parkinson’s, Care Partners, and Scientists whose work makes a positive impact and reminds us that something can be done for those with Parkinson’s.

Steve Yellen

A practical, encouraging guide to living well with Parkinson’s, from someone who tested every idea on himself first.

Living Parkinson’s is a clear, practical guide for anyone who wants more structure and a stronger sense of control in life with Parkinson’s. Steve’s own discipline is impressive, but what sets the book apart is how he turns it into a framework that feels approachable.

Easy to pick up and use

Each chapter opens with a short list of what you’ll learn and ends with lined pages for reflection. It respects your time, your energy, and your need for clarity.

Momentum over perfection

Steve’s central idea is simple: action creates momentum, and momentum creates hope. His advice on exercise, sleep, nutrition, and stress management draws on both research and lived experience. His triathlons, Spartan races, and stair climbs show what consistency can make possible. He shares them to encourage, not to impress.

Make it your own

His approach may not suit everyone, and he would be the first to say so. The point is not to copy his path but to find your own. If you deal with fluctuating symptoms, caregiving duties, or limited energy, adapt the framework to fit your body and your circumstances.

What I appreciate most is that the book gives you a roadmap and also permission to leave it. Steve doesn’t promise a cure. He offers companionship, clarity, and a reminder that intentional choices, whatever they look like for you, can shape a more empowered life with Parkinson’s.

About the author

Steve Yellen was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019 and has become a trusted advocate for stronger research, better care, and a more empowered future for people living with the disease. With a background in engineering and problem solving, he brings a clear, structured approach to living well with Parkinson’s, built on intentional movement, thoughtful routines, and the belief that consistent action can change what’s possible.

His commitment goes well beyond his own health. He meets with lawmakers to advance bipartisan policy, takes part in clinical research to speed progress, and shares practical tools through Living Parkinson’s and his ongoing writing at LivingParkinsons.com. Whether he is training for a triathlon, talking with a Senate office, or encouraging someone newly diagnosed, Steve shows that none of us choose Parkinson’s, but we can choose to be part of the movement to change its future.
