Kathy has been passionate about health her whole life. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1975 and worked as a nurse in hospitals in Hawaii and Maine until 2001. She then earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist until 2005. Kathy then earned her post-master’s degree and became a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She worked in outpatient settings until opening her own practice in 2016. Kathy’s motivation for opening her own practice was to be able to give patients more attentive and holistic care. Even after retiring in 2021, Kathy’s enthusiasm for helping others achieve their health potential through holistic and alternative approaches has remained strong.
Kathy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2018. Despite a bleak prognosis from the medical community, Kathy remained determined to seek solutions and improve her quality of life. She was introduced to Resolve Parkinson’s co-founder Dr. Albert Wright through a mutual friend in early 2022 and was happy to join the research group.
Kathy lives in Rockport, Maine with her husband. She enjoys being a grandmother, gardening, and cooking delicious vegan food.
