“Despite the challenges, I have found true friendship and deep respect for the warriors.”
Ben Lazarus

Ben Lazarus has been a long‑time and deeply valued friend of Resolve Parkinson’s. His honesty, courage, and unwavering faith have made him a source of strength and inspiration within our community. Ben’s journey, from his initial Parkinson’s diagnosis to his current experience with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), which he describes as “a more aggressive cousin” of Parkinson’s, reflects both the challenges of neurological disease and the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.

A Life of Purpose

Before retiring due to illness, Ben built a distinguished international career in business. He served as a Partner at PwC in both Israel and the UK, later leading PwC Israel’s consulting practice. He then joined Stratasys, a global 3D‑printing company, as a senior executive overseeing post‑merger integration and business operations. His professional life was marked by integrity, steadiness, and a deep commitment to helping organizations and people thrive.

Family at the Center

Ben often says that his greatest blessing is his family. He and his wife have been married for nearly three decades, and together they have raised three wonderful adult children. Their love, humor, and steadfast support have carried him through every stage of his illness. Ben’s deep devotion to his family—and theirs to him—remains one of the most defining and beautiful parts of his story.

Faith as His Foundation

Ben’s faith has guided him throughout his life. It has shaped his values, sustained him through uncertainty, and offered him peace during difficult transitions. His spiritual grounding is evident in the way he treats others with kindness, humility, and compassion.

Sharing His Voice

Ben is a gifted writer whose reflections offer clarity, comfort, and companionship to others navigating Parkinson’s and PSP. Ben’s books—Weathering the Storm: Living Fully with PSP and Hope in the Midst of Sorrow: A Jewish Journey Through Crisis and Faith, capture the honesty, humor, and deep faith that define his approach to life. Visitors who wish to learn more about Ben’s journey can explore his personal blog and his Times of Israel posts, where he continues to share moments of insight and grace.

Why We Admire Ben

At Resolve Parkinson’s, we admire Ben not only for the challenges he has faced, but for the way he has faced them—with dignity, courage, humor, and faith. He reminds us that a diagnosis does not define a person; character does. And Ben’s character shines through in every interaction, every story he shares, and every life he touches.

He is, and will always be, part of the Resolve Parkinson’s family.
